Resurrected by a consortium headed by Amy Ryan, Benson Theatre and it’s interim subsidiary B Side offers an event venue that can be booked for workshops, seminars, networking events, forums, fundraisers, creative performances, receptions and private events.
Milk & Sugar Design was commissioned to create the branding and all supporting print materials, event materials and website of Benson Theatre.
Logo and Stationery Design
The voice of Benson Theatre was stated as “contemporary 20’s” and this should be reflected in it’s branding and identity. The two fonts LHF Gloria and Futura Light perfectly demonstrate the connection of traditional 20’s style and modern contemporary typefaces. The graphical symbol represents two spotlights showing crossing in a constructivism manner.
While remaining on brand, a brochure was designed to promote Benson Theatre and B Side while Benson Theatre is under construction. It is intended to serve as their main point of promotion until the theatre is complete.
Carrying the branding through their website was important. Although the website started offÂ basic with a few functional widget requirements, long term plans require a robust and up to date platform that can be updated by the staff at any time. The website is created responsive within WordPress and pin-pointed SEO or optimum search-ability.
